She is currently providing risk management services to the City of Chicago Department of Aviation. In addition, she is a Risk Management Consultant for various construction corporations. Celeste has held the following positions: Director of Risk Management for the Chicago Park District, where she directed and coordinated the activities of loss control/safety, claims and insurance; Senior Commercial Underwriter for various insurance companies; and Assistant Comptroller of Insurance for the City of Chicago. During her tenure with the City, she worked on the following Wrap-Ups: Southwest Transit, Harold Washington Library, and The O'Hare International Terminal. Her extensive experience has created expertise in the areas of Contract Insurance Specification, Construction Risk Management, Wrap-up Insurance, Medical Cost Containment, and the design, implementation and administration of Risk Management Programs.

Karen has expertise in numerous areas such as contractors, pharmaceuticals, hospitals, education, public institutions and manufacturing. Her broad experience includes knowledge of marketing property and casualty insurance, loss control services, claims review, loss sensitive programs and construction/wrap-up insurance programs. Karen is a Licensed Broker for all lines of insurance. She was with Marsh & McLennan, Inc. for over 25 years in various capacities, which included Vice President/Account Executive, Marketing and Services Management.
